03 Apr Easter Brunch Brings Many Through the Doors of Keystone Mission
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA – In celebration of the Easter season, Keystone Mission hosted two brunches for the homeless in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre.
Staff and volunteers served over 100 individuals across Northeast PA – 35 in Scranton and 70 in Wilkes-Barre.
Guests and residents were served “restaurant-style” where staff and volunteers made their plates and served them at their tables. As part of a new tradition, Keystone Mission staff in Wilkes-Barre also celebrated guest’s birthdays from January through April with sweet, delightful treats; which included cake, cupcakes, and non-alcoholic sparkling cider.
“Holidays are an especially difficult time of year for the individuals we serve, as they are estranged from family and loved ones,” says Danielle O. Keith-Alexandre, CEO & Executive Director. “The support of the community and the servant leadership of our staff and volunteers is one more way of showing our residents and guests that Keystone Mission cares.”
Keystone Mission is thankful for each community’s support to bring together a nice meal for the homeless, hungry, and hurting in Northeast PA.
