Duties and Responsibilities

75% Creative Content Coordination

  • Write content and copy for fundraising and marketing purposes such as: monthly cultivation letters, e-mail campaigns, website, blog posts, marketing material, and more.
  • Produce creative content via digital design platforms via Adobe or Canva.
  • Assist in social media management for the organization.
  • Assist in the development of digital marketing materials including blog articles, social media posts and email communications in accordance with brand standards.
  • Help with planning, promoting and executing various promotions and events.
  • Assist in editing proposal drafts for grants.
  • Manage marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email marketing, print materials, and the organization’s website.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

25% Community Outreach

  • Represent the organization at local events, job fairs, volunteer fairs, and other functions that open opportunities for the community to get involved with Keystone Mission.
  • Steward relationships with perspective, active, and inactive donors/volunteers through phone calls, e-mails, handwritten notes, and personal invitations to the Mission.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and ability.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to create compelling content.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with fundraising and donor engagement strategies is preferred.
  • Passion for the nonprofit sector and the organization’s mission.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and speaking skills and understanding of relationship management.
  • Ability to assess situations to determine importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear and sound decisions that are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
  • Ability to travel if necessary 

 

 

Education and Experience

Holds an Bachelor’s degree, preferred, in Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing, or other similar field or provided evidence of 2 to 4 years equivalent and relevant experience.

 

General description of work:

Overnight shelter staff are responsible for direct client support with individuals experiencing homelessness. This hands-on role helps to support the homeless community. Overnight staff is responsible for maintaining and regulating the shelter facility as well as ensuring a safe and healthy environment. Overnight staff works directly under the supervision of Shelter Manager.

 

Duties and Tasks:

  • Adheres to Keystone Mission Policy and Procedures
  • Set up and tear down the room at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas.
  • Can perform basic intake process for all individuals including new.
  • Monitor showers as stated in guest guidelines.
  • Communicate information regarding available services to guests.
  • Distribute evening food if available.
  • Must be able to lift upwards of 20 lbs.
  • Intervene and appropriately de-escalate crisis situations.
  • Ensure all services are confidential.
  • Document incident report and submit to shelter manager.
  • Undergo mandatory trainings required for position.
  • In any position with the Keystone Mission, it is impossible to predict the many requests and assignments that can and will be made on an employee. This is the case with this position. Flexibility and a cooperate spirit are crucial characteristics of the person who holds this important position and for the successful operation of the Keystone Mission services.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

· Effective written, verbal, interpersonal communication and computer skills

· Ability to work overnight shifts.

· Agreement with the philosophy of the Keystone Mission

· Positive attitude

· 1 or more years of experience working with at risk communities not required but preferred.

 

Overnight Shelter Staff position is a full-time position is an overnight position. The position three days on and three days off, 365 days per year. You must be able to enforce predetermined guest guidelines. Our workplace maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards drugs, all employees are required to adhere to this policy to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
