Wilkes-Barre, PA – The Wilkes-Barre Innovation Center for Homeless & Poverty received a $5,000 grant check from the FNCB Bank, through the FNCB Bank Charitable Foundation. This donation is part of their larger Community Caring initiative.
“We are proud to contribute to the essential work being done at the Wilkes-Barre Innovation Center,” said Michael Cummings, Senior Vice President, Marketing Manager, FNCB Bank. “Our commitment to the community extends beyond banking, and we believe in supporting initiatives that make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing homelessness to make a positive change to our community.”
Through community partnerships, Keystone is filling the immediate and long-term needs of those facing homelessness in the Wilkes-Barre area. The facility provides meals, showers, emergency provisions, and daily programming and doubles as the Emergency Shelter – Code Blue during winter.
“Since the opening of our Wilkes-Barre Innovation Center in October 2023, we have seen a steady increase in the number of guests who come through our doors daily,” says Danielle O. Keith-Alexandre, CEO & Executive Director of Keystone Mission. “Moreover, the funding from FNCB Bank will enable us to provide help to those individuals who are in dire need of our services.
