05 Jan The Margaret Briggs Foundation Meeting Needs in the Innovation Center for Homeless & Poverty
Scranton, PA – Keystone Mission is honored to receive a $25,000 grant from the Margaret Briggs Foundation to support the ongoing programs at the Innovation Center for Homeless & Poverty.
The needs of the men and women experiencing homelessness continue to grow. From August 2022 to October 2022, Keystone Mission saw a 45% increase in new guests coming to the Innovation Center and a 56% increase in guests receiving services.
This grant will allow operations to continue, such as meal and emergency provisions, laundry services, vocational/housing assistance, and connections to mental/physical resources for men and women experiencing homelessness in Northeast PA. The Center also provides hands-on educational training and daily programs such as AA meetings, bible studies, music/art therapy, etc.
Partnerships like The Margaret Briggs Foundation enable life transformation for the homeless, hungry, and hurting in Scranton and the surrounding Northeast PA region.
